Seeing other artists W.I.P s, the process and progress of their drawings, paintings, and creations in whatever form and shape entrances, inspires, motivates, and awes me, but most of all, it's a great way for me to pick up bits of knowledge as a self taught artist who does this just for fun, and because I can, and because I have to.

Since the time of my first digital camera, I've been fascinated with every tiny step and change in my own drawings, I don't know why, but I just constantly take pictures of it!

So anyway, I figured it'd be fun to put up my own little progress of a just-for-fun, just-for-me, pastel drawing that started of over a year ago as a sketch I've been playing with ever since

There are so many layers, so many colors, so much remolding and restructuring of his face, so many details just blended in over and over again, not to mention the background color changed a million times, and I'm sure all the erasing didn't help the paper or colors much on spiral bound sketch paper, lol But then I pick just nine pictures among the hundreds of pictures of progress, put them together, and all the differences and changes don't seem that drastic anymore, it looks as if those countless hours I put into this hardly took place I can see it , and I know it, but I don't think it would be apparent to anyone else. I think where I'm going with all this rumbling, is that I need a more efficient way of drawing.

Also I can't seem to capture that true realism even if I wanted to that everyone else seems to capture, so if someone can pick out through this what I do wrong or different, or lend me some advice or tips, that would be awesome!


Yeah, I'm happy it's almost done, so the big finished version should be up soon

(Part of the reason I put this up is to push my damn self to finally finish it!)
